Amy Poe

After working for three years as an engineer in the semiconductor industry, Amy joined the family business in 2000 to learn the art of sailmaking. From managing the office, to working on the floor, she has picked up all the necessary skills to keep the business running smoothly and efficiently. The ever-increasing demand for custom canvas work has kept her busier than ever, but she still manages to find time to pursue other interests such as volunteering on NOAA fish abundance surveys off the coast of New England, working with the City of Portland on their "Code Improvement" taskforce, serving as the President for the Columbia Gorge Racing Association, and working in the garden.
Anika Caldwell

Congratulations Anika Caldwell!

Anika recently married her college sweetheart, Scott Caldwell. They held their ceremony and honeymoon in Antigua! Anika and Scott even got to race in Antigua Race Week on the Swan 48 "Avocation". We have missed her the last couple of weeks, and are glad to have her back.

Anika has been with the company since 2004. As our sail and canvas floor manager, she oversees all the custom canvas and all the repair work in the shop. She also assists with the marketing and company development.

In 2007, she cruised through the Grenadines on a Beneteau 42, sailing 200 miles north and south, exploring islands by land and sea, snorkeling reefs and enjoying the local cuisines. Among her many accomplishments, she competed on the PSU Sailing Team and is proud to have been named the All Northwest Crew of the year in 2003 and 2004, and the All Northwest Woman Skipper of the year in 2005.

Anika is a member of Willamette Sailing Club. She races through out the year on her laser and on other local boats including J-24s, and soon the Tasar!

I have lived in Oregon Since I was 4 and love it. We get all the seasons with wonderful color.

I enjoy being able to work in the sailing community and am learning many new things. I originally went and received my two year teaching diploma, and taught pre-school for two years. But am now taking a break and doing office administration here.

One thing that I love to do is to travel. The one place that sticks out in my memory the most is when I spent three months in New Zealand as a foreign exchange student. I got to travel and see the beautiful country and meet many amazing people. My hope in the future is to travel again to New Zealand and then explore Europe. I have also seen places like the beautiful black sand beaches, and crystal blue waters of Hawaii, as well as the volcanoes of Guatemala.  One of my other hobbies is to be in the out doors, hiking, rock climbing, or simply just having a nice picnic.

Wyatt Poe
